Layouts got a new Stack type
Layout Children has a fourth option, Stack: children sit on top of each other and still follow the layout, no Absolute positioning needed.
Until now a Layout could arrange its children in a Row, a Column or a Grid. To put one thing on top of another, like a label on a button, you had to switch the child to Absolute and place it by hand.
What Changed?
Layout Children has a fourth option, Stack. Children of a Stack sit on top of each other, and they still follow the layout: alignment, padding, margins and Fill all keep working.
You can see it in the Duolingo button tutorial: the label drops under the button face in a Column, and goes right back onto it the moment the Layout switches to Stack.
What This Means for You
The responsive lessons still work as recorded, and Absolute positioning is still there. Stack is a cleaner way to layer things that should resize together, like a button face and its label, or a card and its background.
